Menzies works at the frontline, joining with partners across the Asia-Pacific as well as Indigenous communities across northern and central Australia.About the position:The Centre of Research Excellence in Ear and Hearing Health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children (CRE_ICHEAR) has completed an evidence update of the "Recommendations for Clinical Care Guidelines for the Management of Otitis Media in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Populations" (the 2010 OM Guidelines). The Senior Research Officer will be responsible for the ongoing updates (systematic reviews and meta-analyses) and promotion of the Otitis Media (OM) Guidelines, and promotion of associated web/smartphone application (OMapp).The successful candidate will have:Postgraduate or postdoctoral qualifications or equivalent health and health technology research experience which has resulted in publications, conference papers, reports or professional or technical contributions which give evidence of research ability.Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based guidelines and experience in conducting high quality systematic literature searches, systematic reviews, Cochrane reviews or meta-analyses, and sound critical appraisal, and analytical skills.High degree of computer literacy including relevant software including Microsoft Office Suite, and EndNote X9.Demonstrated experience in using software such as RevMan and GRADEpro technical software, or willingness to learn.Highly developed ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, along with interpersonal skills to communicate to a range of audiences including a multidisciplinary team as well as preparing high quality reports.Demonstrated high level experience with collaborative partnerships and a well-developed capacity to consult, collaborate and negotiate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.Demonstrated capacity to work independently without direct supervision under broad direction and as part of a multidisciplinary team, maintain good organisational and time management skills and ability to meet deadlines, to undertake a range of tasks, team dynamic management, reporting and liaison activities.The ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.What we offer:6 weeks annual leaveOption to increase super to 14%$119,812 pro-rata salary package (comprising gross salary $94,935 pro-rata, superannuation and salary packaging benefits).Closing date:  8 March 2020 Contact: Prof Amanda Leach on 08 8946 8560 or amanda.leach@menzies.edu.auAboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to applyApplicants are required to address the selection criteria.
