About the Role:
Menzies is looking for a Clinical Research Manager for clinical trials focused on improving child respiratory health (for example probiotic therapy, and vitamin D supplementation).
The Clinical Research Manager will be responsible for trial management and oversight including financial management, staff supervision and mentoring, study governance requirements, and study reporting. The manager will ensure that the research adheres to the standards of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research and the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research. The manager will lead participant recruitment, clinical assessments study visits, data collection and data entry.. The manager will engage with hospitals, clinics, communities and relevant governing bodies to achieve the study outcomes.
This position will be based in Darwin and will require travel to remote communities (by light aircraft or 4WD) for up to 3 days per trip and 5 times per year.
What you will bring to the role
As an enthusiastic, qualified Professional you will have extensive experience in managing projects and/or relevant experience working in maternal/child health or in remote Indigenous community health environments such as within communities, hospitals and health service settings in the Northern Territory.
In addition, this role requires good communication skills (both orally and in writing) and the ability to engage with Aboriginal people and people from diverse cultures as well as the ability to work collaboratively with health professionals and academic colleagues.
