Clinical Research Manager/Research Midwife

 Full-time contract until 31 December 2024, based in Darwin Be part of an exciting opportunity!Menzies is looking for a Clinical Research Manager/Research Midwife to join the Maternal Health program and manage two research projects: (a) The Australian Multi-State Partnership to Prevent Preterm Birth Program and (b) the Prediction of Preterm Birth Using Vaginal Microbiology Study (GLU study) in the Northern Territory.This position is based in Darwin; however, there may be a requirement to travel to rural and remote communities via light aircraft and/or 4WD, as required for managing the program, up to twice a month.What you will bring to the roleAs an enthusiastic, qualified health professional, you will have postgraduate qualifications in Midwifery or Nursing and/or experience in clinical trial management and financial management or an equivalent combination of relevant management experience and/or education/training.The successful applicant will have clinical and project management experience, and strong leadership skills and experience in staff supervision and management. They will also have demonstrated ability to produce high level and quality reports, success in leading a multidisciplinary team of staff including provision of education, training, support and mentoring, and academic strengths in one or more of the following areas: maternal health, health research, or public health.The successful applicant will also have exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with community stakeholders, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community organisations, and the ability to work collaboratively with health professionals and academic colleagues.
