The Biyamarr ma team supports and advocates for meaningful engagement of research within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities through a variety of strategic relationships and engagement opportunities with key stakeholders.The role will assist with the consultation, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of project work that relates to the attraction, development and retention of Menzies’ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce, inline with Menzies' strategies such as Menzies' Reconciliation Action Plan, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Employment and Career Development Strategy 2022 - 2026, and the Strategic Workforce Plan 2022 - 2026. It will also develop and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders, both internal and external to Menzies School of Health Research to achieve outcomes.   What you will bring to the roleYou will have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander issues impacting on the employment and retention of Aboriginal people and the ability to apply this knowledge to deliver improved outcomes.You also possess:A degree with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.Experience coordinating, implementing, monitoring and reporting on projects aligned to strategic plans and the ability to undertake multiple tasks to deliver results in a timely and efficient manner.Experience consulting with and supporting teams by providing advice on how to best engage with stakeholders and implement projects which involves, or focuses on, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to consult, collaborate and negotiate effectively with a wide and diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including people from diverse cultures and organisational backgrounds.Excellent computing skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and desktop research. This Position is designated for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples only.The position will only be open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants.
