About your new role:Menzies is looking for a Project Support and Evaluation Officer to work with the renal team and who will coordinate and manage projects related to the Renal Health Program.The Renal Health Program sits within the Wellbeing and Preventable Chronic Diseases Division. The program has a strong focus on evidence translation, identifying new and innovative strategies to improve service delivery and program evaluation to inform policy decisions related to health care for people with kidney disease. It works locally and at a national level in partnership with government and non-government health services to identify, develop and support innovative strategies.The role of the Project Support and Evaluation Officer will include assisting the Renal team in ongoing project activities and by responding to external requests for consultancy services including developing proposals for: the monitoring and evaluation of programs and services.You will be required to write proposals, design project methodologies, develop data collection tools, seek ethics approval, collect qualitative data, source quantitative data, collation, analysis and report writing.Occasional travel, including to remote communities will be necessary.Please see Position Description for a full list of role requirements and for the selection criteria. What you will bring: As an enthusiastic, qualified professional you already have the capacity to provide consultation services, advice and guidance to stakeholders. You have sound communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively in a culturally safe manner with people from diverse cultures. You also possess:Relevant tertiary qualifications, plus at least , or a combination of experience and qualifications/training.Knowledge of and expertise in evaluation tools and methodologies applicable to health with demonstrated experience in and responsibility for the practical implementation of evaluations or evaluative research.Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and ability to both lead and support the writing of reports, journal articles, briefs, proposals and conference presentations.Ability to build strong productive relationships within an organisation and collaborative external partnerships. Well-developed capacity to consult, collaborate and negotiate effectively with people from diverse cultures and a wide range of stakeholders.Sound computer literacy and data presentation skills including proficiency with word and excel and familiarity with qualitative data analysis programs such as NVIVO.
